This festive story is seen through the narrative of Hayden and Ria on the lead up to Christmas. Ria has been brought in to help Hayden and his family bring back the magic to the family inn so the family aren’t forced to let it go. But Ria and Hayden are caught between Evie’s Hayden’s mother wanting to modernise the inn whilst Mason, Hayden’s father wants to restore its original charm. As Ria works closely with the family, she begins to look at her priorities in life and that her job isn’t the be all and end that she thought it was. It’s lovely reading between Ria and Hayden narratives, two relatable and kind characters who are drawn to each other. The setting for the story also made it particularly magic and the author’s descriptive writing made the story so vivid.
