If you like psychological thrillers then you most definitely need to read ‘The Perfect Divorce’ a twisted story of revenge that had me hooked from the first page.

The story is seen from multiple perspectives, ruthless and determined lawyer Sarah Morgan, who’s called time on her marriage to fellow lawyer Bob Miller when she discovered that he cheated on her. But in the midst of her messy divorce, a case involving Sarah’s ex husband has been reopened and it’s the job of Sheriff Hudson to solve it and all fingers point to Bob Millar. Interestingly there’s a fourth narrator in the story who’s identity is not revealed and I really found this element of the story kept me engaged as well as it being a relatively short story, it was easy to consume in a couple of sittings.

The characters are not particularly likeable. Sarah comes across as ruthless and uncaring but she’s the opposite setting up a company to help ex convicts get back on the straight and narrow and her love for her daughter runs deep and her well-being is her priority. Whilst Bob is determined to keep his family together no matter what Sarah says and even though evidence is pointing him in the frame situations, he will keep his name clear no matter the cost.

Fast paced, thrilling and packed with plenty of drama and twists that will keep the reader on their toes, ‘The Perfect Divorce’ is a story about the past coming back to haunt you and there’s no such thing as the perfect divorce.
