When this happens, Posy decides to look up her exes and on this adventure,  she discovers if she left the one behind, did she meet the one or does the one even exist, all with hilarious results. What inspired you to write this type of book?
The GBD came out of facebook of course; suddenly you could look up everyone you’d ever cheap MLB jerseys known, and there was a rash of stories in the papers about people leaving to be with their old boyfriends. One of my best friends left her long term partner for her university boyfriend Leading and is now living in Australia with him, blissfully happy.
  2. Of all the characters in the books you have written, which has been the one you relate to the most?
I relate most to Holly in Talking to Addison, she is very much me and twenty Conhe?a six and Addison is my lovely friend Ben Moor.
  3. Many book lovers have a hard time excepting screen adaptations of classic and popular stories. What film has been your favourite book to screen adaptation? If any
I hate book to screen, it’s always such a let down. Books are just such a richer experience. Weirdly the best I think are often when the original book wholesale jerseys is no good- I adore the movie of the Bridges of Madison County with Meryl Streep, though I hated the novel. Likewise I don’t like the Twilight novels to read very much, but the films are lovely.
  4. Here at handwrittengirl.com, I would like to give other wannabe writers like myself some advice. What area do you suggest a budding writer should concentrate on to further their abilities?
I would say the best advice is write for you, not anyone else, and also don’t stop- loads of people get about 20,000 words in then give up on novels. If you’ve read loads of novels, it’s totally in you to write one. for Don’t worry if you Chrissie think it’s crap, that’s not for you to judge. So, in summary 1. Read a lot 2. Write a lot 3. Repeat steps 1- 2.
  5. Of all the books that you have read over the years, which one would you have liked to have said ‘I wrote that’.
Oh The God, LOADS. Loads. Too many to mention. Usually great big bricks of books, because mine are a bit more slender. I would have loved to have written The Crimson Petal and the White, it was such an achievement in worldbuilding. And Jonathan Strange and Mr Norell, same thing. In my own genre, I think Shopaholic is genius, Sophie Kinsella is a wonderful plotter and so funny.
  6. Whilst I was reading ‘The Good the Bad and the Dumped’, many people commented on the cover because it is quite vibrant. Do you place much priority on the cover? And also do you judge a book by its cover?
Ha, that’s so funny, потолка I totally was wrong about the cover. I don’t choose the cover, but cheap jerseys I do kind of get a right of veto. I didn’t like it at all, I thought yellow and brown were totally wrong colours, I wanted something more computer-y. It’s been my best selling book for years, so obviously my publishers were totally right and I was wrong!
  7. When you are sitting down to write, is there any one item you need beside you to write your stories?
    A pain au chocolat probably
  8. If you were ever stranded on a desert island, which book would you bring with you to make the stay more pleasurable?
I have been saving War and Peace for that very reason. That, or being sent to prison.
  9. Describe your writing routine Jenny.
I have an office at home so I spend most of the morning there working on something or other- I normally have two projects on the go at once- then I head off to my local cafe with my computer and work a bit longer there.
  10. I’m always on the look out for book recommendations from reliable sources. What book are you reading at the moment and would you recommend it? Also where do you get your book recommendations?
At the moment I’m reading “The Passage”, the big new vampire book from the US, which is excellent, then I’m going to read the Privileges, about rich Manhattanites, then I’m going to read the Help, about a black nanny cheap NFL jerseys looking after white children in the American South. I read a lot of cheap nba jerseys reviews, just try and keep in the loop of things I think I’d like. I get sent a lot too, and I’m lucky enough to get to review books.
