Working alongside Jack, a more stable and organised character, Clare begins to find a sense of belonging in the small bookshop and is determined to make the shop more successful with the help of a local author, who’s books have transformed lives including Jack.

The interaction between Clare and Jack make for entertaining and fun reading, initially they clash but it’s heartwarming to see them before friends as they work together to transform the shop.

The book is beautifully written and is the perfect escapism story, with vivid descriptions of the island and the small bookshop, I could almost feel the sea breeze on my skin!

Charming and engaging from the first page, ‘Beach Rivals’ is a fun and uplifting story about new beginnings, book lovers and finding your path in life.
