Although Meredith isn’t a fan of Christmas, she’s great at popping together gift hampers and that’s what her charming boss Adrian is making her do to help spread some Christmas joy. Help comes in the shape of mysterious stranger Finn who happens to pop up all the time to chat to Meredith as well as charm her pets and moody neighbour Bernie.

This is only the second book that I’ve read by Cressida and it was a genuinely lovely story. Meredith is a great character with a big personality and kind nature, wanting to help others. She’s equally drawn and frustrated by Finn, with his charismatic manner but can’t help but get frustrated when he comes over all Christmassy! Interactions between the pair make for sweet and fun reading as they tentatively flirt and get to know each other, all whilst dealing with their own ghosts.

The story is warm hearted and festive and I immediately loved the Christmas cheer as well as the adorable Beagle puppy called Crumble.

Beautifully written and filled with charm and heart. ‘Christmas Carols And A Cornish Cream Tea’ is the perfect book to curl up with this Christmas and will most certainly get you into the Christmas spirit.
