Don’t You Forget About Me by Alexandra Potter
“Don’t You Forget About Me” is the ninth book by British author, Alexandra Potter.
When Seb breaks up with Tess, she can’t help being surprised. She blames herself for what went wrong and wonders if it was all her fault that the relationship didn’t work.
Drunk and upset on New Year’s Eve, she wishes she had never met Seb. But when she wakes up on New Year’s Day, she discovers that her wish has come true. She realises that she has a second chance to do it all again. But how far will she go to get it right this time.
Having been a fan of Alexandra Potter for years, I was delighted to hear that she was making a return to Hodder with her new book “Don’t You Forget About Me”
I quickly raced through the book in two days, I couldn’t seem to put it down. Beautifully written with an array of colourful characters. Tess Connolly as the lead was lovely as she tries to fall in love for the second time and learns from her previous mistakes. Her flat mate Fiona is particularly entertaining, with her thoughts and opinions on recent fads and diets. Meanwhile her grandad was a lovely addition, as a quirky old English gentleman who is constantly causing chaos in his nursing home.
One of my favourite things about Alexandra’s writing is her ability to create such books filled with escapism, perfect to snuggle up to. All her books include spells, charms and myths that really make you sit up and notice how unique her stories are, as they transport into another world. “Don’t You Forget About Me” is Alexandra at her very finest, true to form, she has created another modern day fairytale packed with humour, a great cast and getting a second chance at love.
With a beautiful cover, this book will look a treat on any bookshelf!
