As a new year dawns, Allie wonders where she is going in life and what will the future hold.

Consisting solely of the emails, the story is cleverly told through a series of email conversations that take place over a period of time. Through the emails, we meet lead character Allie, who works at BMT Publishing, a funny character, who leads quite a busy life, as she falls for new boy David Marshall and through her regular emails with her best friend and work colleague Julie, we follow her on her adventure of love, heartbreak and self – discovery. I must admit that I enjoyed this quirky tale, poor Allie was quite the unfortunate lead, as disasters seemed to lurk around every corner as she struggled to find love. But when she eventually finds love, gone is the quirky funny character that I enjoyed reading instead she became quite clingy at time, which occasionally made for awkward moments, apart from the occasion odd difficult moment, I thought it was a delight to read.

A truly distinctive and witty story, ‘Emailing Allie’ is a wonderfully uplifting and heart-warming story that will definitely entertain.
