Falling Star By Michele Kwasniewski

Falling Star‘Falling Star’ is the third book in the Trueheart series by Michele Kwasniewski.

Who are you when no one is looking? Minutes before her scheduled performance at the drop party for her third album, sixteen-year-old pop sensation Dani Truehart regains consciousness amid the smoking wreckage of a car accident, the crumbled body of a cyclist splayed on the ground. Moments after the accident Dani’s talent manager, Jenner Redman, reaches the scene and his impulsive decision sets in motion a chain of events that will have catastrophic consequences for everyone in the starlet’s
orbit.

‘Falling Star’ is the final book in the ‘Rise and Fall of Dani Trueheart’ series and it certainly sees the young popstar go out with a bang.

The story continues on from the climatic ending of the last book and sees Dani relying on others to once again clean up her messes. Behind her, she leaves a path of destruction that only a crisis manager called Perish Jones can help with. As Dani and Perish work together to fix the damage, Dani is left to reflect to reconcile with those she hurt as well her fans.

Although, I’ve enjoyed this series as it gives an interesting insight into the world of being a popstar and the industry, I’ve always had a dislike for Dani. She’s immature and has become accustomed to having things her own way and doesn’t show much remorse for her actions, infact she selfishly thinks of herself and how others could have prevented things from happening. The introduction of Perish makes for interesting reading as she’s a strong character like Dani and doesn’t tolerate her behaviour and I think this helps mould Dani into a better person.

A dramatic conclusion to a thrilling trilogy, ‘Falling Star’ is a fast paced and insightful story about the pop world industry, the pressures and drama of being a teen sensation.
