I started this book a couple of days ago and have been hardly able to put it down, cleverly written with twists weaved throughout, this is a gripping thriller with a capital T.
In this story we meet psychologist Dr Augusta Bloom, who’s been called into investigate the disappearance of individuals who disappear after receiving a card asking them whether they want to play a game, as her and her colleague Marcus Jameson investigate the disappearances they find themselves delving into something a lot more dark and sinister than they ever expected.
This is a fantastic introduction to a thrilling heroine, Dr Bloom is a strong lead, clever with an intriguing personality and character, I found myself latching onto her as the story progresses and she worked tirelessly to solve the crime. The story is seen from multiple narratives giving interesting insight into the situation as well as keeping the reader on their toes, as they too also tried to solve the mystery.
Fast paced with twists and turns throughout, ‘Gone’ is an engaging and thrilling story that pulls the reader and leaves them hanging onto every word.
