When I heard the news of Paige Toon’s releasing a short ebook called ‘Johnny’s Girl’, I was delighted and excited to see the return of one of my favourite Paige Toon couples. Having loved ‘Johnny Be Good’, it was great to see the comeback of handsome and tortured rocker Johnny and his wife Meg with her quiet and calming presence. The story is a wonderful, short treat which provided fans of Paige with a welcome return and a nice follow up to the couple, showing us where they are in life and how they have progressed in their often turbulent relationship, as they battle with paparazzi and adjusting to their new lives in America.

One of the things, I loved most about the story was it set at the peak point in the couple’s relationship when Johnny discovered that he has a fifteen year old daughter, that he knew nothing about.The story also included an exciting extract from Paige’s first Young Adult, ‘The Accidental Life of Jessie Jefferson’ which follows on from ‘Johnny’s Girl’. finishes off.

‘Johnny’s Girl’ is a great story, prettily written and a wonderful introduction to Johnny’s new daughter, Jessie and it’s wonderful to see the return of Johnny and Meg,
