But in Claudia’s trademark style of twists and turns, nothing is as it seems and Holly is in for a surprise when she touches down in Manhattan.

The story focuses on the topic of catfishing, the current trend with online dating where people lie about their identities and their situations and has become such a big craze that there is even a television series about it.

Holly is a lovely character, warmhearted with a tendency for telling little white lies, she dreams of finding love and having a successful career and hope this will help ease the heartache of her past. But life isn’t that easy for the heroine and she finds herself on an unexpected adventure in New York, where she makes her friends and helps out old ghosts to rest.

The story is a bubbly festive adventure that flows from the bustling streets of Dublin to the cosmopolitan lights of New York and is the perfect tour guide for people visiting the city, packed with little nuggets of information about little known places.

I’ve grown to love Claudia’s books, their whimsical and enjoyable tales filled with sweet and entertaining characters that make for compulsive reading, packed with funny and tender moments, ‘Meet Me In Manhattan’ is a deliciously charming and entertaining story about leaving the past behind and having the courage to move on.
