Scandalous by Tilly Bagshawe
Scandalous is the first book I have read by English author Tilly Bagshaw, sister of Louise Bagshawe who’s books I have read for years and thoroughly enjoyed, so I was delighted when her sister proved to be just as good!
Sasha Millar is a determined, quiet, young woman, she leaves for Cambridge University hoping to follow her goal and have a career in Physics, but things go drastically wrong when she falls for her married, smug, arrogant lecturer Theo Dexter. Heartbroken when Theo betrays her, Sasha leaves the university in a scandal thus having to give up her dream career.
Years later, Theo has become a successful television star with his own television show, a series of affairs and a Holywood star wife on his arm. Things couldn’t be better for the former lecturer, but little does he know what is happening behind his back and that his reign of success is soon coming to an end.
After having to give up Cambridge in shame, Sasha has become one of the most powerful business women in America and she is determined to reek revenge on Theo for what he has done to her life, so with the aid of Theresa, Theo’s long suffering ex-wife, they set about making Theo’s life hell.
I loved this book from start to finish, it truly lives up to its name. With all the back stabbing and torrid affairs, it is utterly Scandalous. It was addictive and I couldn’t put it down. There are so many interesting characters, so many strong willed independent women, that you had to admire, well I did anyway!
I would definitely recommend Scandalous, it was a wonderful, sensational read and also a great introduction novel to a new author.
