You: kind, piano-playing sex god
Me: hopelessly romantic charity shop manager

Honeysuckle Jones has a problem, and her best friends Nell and Tash are on a mission to help her solve it. She needs a man – a caring, intelligent, funny man. But most importantly, a man who’s good with his hands…

Luckily Honey’s new neighbour – moody, antisocial ex-chef Hal – fails on almost every count. Even though the chemistry between them is electric, he’s obviously wrong for her in every way.

But when Honey discovers the devastating reason for his moods she decides to give him another chance. And discovers that the best songs aren’t always in tune…

With a deliciously vibrant cover, ‘The Piano Man Project’ is a thoroughly enjoyable and cleverly written story that I fell in love with, especially with the addition of grumpy and extremely attractive man, it was hard to put the book down.

The story is seen primarily through the eyes of uniquely named Honeysuckle Jones, who in a moment of honesty tells her best friends Tash and Nell, that she has never had an orgasm. The two friends decide to take it upon themselves to find her a man who is good with his hands, particularly a pianist and so the Piano Man project begins. But then, handsome Hal moves into the flat across from Honey and she finds herself reluctantly drawn to the grumpy and volatile man who regularly insults her but, still Honey looks out for the handsome stranger, a blind man who is angry with the world.

As time passes, the pair embark on a tentative friendship, regularly colliding with each other and this sometimes makes for either amusing or angry reading. Honey is a sweetheart of a character, with s huge heart, she can easily be taken for granted as she sees the best in everyone. In her role, as an assistant in a charity shop, she becomes embroiled in the huge drama of the local nursing home closing down and sees herself becoming the face of the protest campaign with the help of her elderly friends, Lucile, Mimi and Billy, a dandy, old gentleman.

Hal is a very angry man, who has found it hard to adapt to his sudden blindness. He hates the person he has become and the life that he left behind. Although, Honey’s cheery persona annoys him, he begins to thaw towards her and together they form a bond that becomes a many of firsts together.

Packed with fun and intriguing characters, ‘The Piano Man Project’ is a sexy and emotional story that made for laugh out reading and poignant moments.
