Two Truths and a Lie by Sara Shepard

Two Truths and a Lie

“Two Truths and a Lie” is the third book in “The Lying Games” series by bestselling American author Sara Shepard.

Two months ago, Sutton was killed and unfortunately the only people that know she is dead is her unknown twin sister Emma, and her killer. Now, her sister Emma has stepped into her shoes and is carrying on as Sutton as she tries to unravel the mystery of her sister’s tragic death. As she tries to figure out Sutton’s last living moments, she begins to discover the many mysteries the leader of the Lying Game left behind, her tangled love-life and her association with Thayer, her best friend’s brother and his own sudden disappearance.

Finally, “The Lying Game” is getting as juicy and addictive as the “Pretty Little Liars” series. Packed with bitchiness, designer labels and cute men, I couldn’t put this one down. As Emma delves further into Sutton’s life, she manages to become more convincing and bitchy towards the outside world, but occasionally you get a glimpse of the real Emma, as she shows genuine affection towards Ethan, the lonely EMO of the school who becomes an unlikely confidante for her and helps her try to put the missing pieces together.

So far “Two Truths and a Lie” has been my favourite of “The Lying Game” series, maybe it’s because Emma is finally beginning to feel part of a family and is getting closer to finding her sister’s killer or maybe it’s because I think I figured out who killed Sutton. Either way I am looking forward to the next installment to find out!
