Maeve Binchy Bridge Campaign

It was a sad time for Ireland last year, when we lost one of the country’s most inspirational and successful authors, when the lovely Maeve Binchy passed away. But on the lead up to the first anniversary of her death, there is a petition currently on the Internet petitioning for one of Dublin’s newest bridges to be named after the Irish author.

An opportunity exists to name the bridge, which is over the Liffey in Maeve’s home city of Dublin and by gathering as many signatures as possible, the bridge will hopefully be named the Maeve Binchy Bridge.
