Parting from Dominic has left Beth heartbroken. A relationship heightened by sexual pleasures and intricacies was brought to its knees over one small misunderstanding. Now the hurt and sadness follows Beth like a shadow and makes choosing the right path to take impossible.

It was a sad day yesterday when I finished the concluding book of the ‘After Dark’ series. For the last year I joined Beth and Dominic on their rocky adventure from their first meeting to the realisation that this wasn’t quite the relationship that they both had in mind and I loved every moment of their dark, intense but loving relationship. In the final book of the trilogy, the couple still are searching for their happy ever after, but this proves difficult when Dominic’s ex boss Andrei develops an unwanted obsession with the young art-dealer pursuing her with lavish gifts and promises of a better life that can occasionally make for unsettled reading. But with Andrei’s presence throughout the book, he gives a wonderful essence of danger and intrigue as we wonder what his next move will be.

Like the previous books, ‘Promises After Dark’ was another dark and twisted love affair, that draws the reader into the young couple’s love as they compete with their past and present to make their relationship work. Seductive reading with sensual characters, ‘Promises After Dark’ was a wonderful ending to the series and with such an open ending, the passionate couple could well be back.

A series that had me captivated from the beginning, forget the hype about Ana and Christian from the ‘Fifty Shades’ series, it’s Beth and Dominic, that are the couple for me!
