Giveaway – Deity By Matt Wesolowski

DeityOn the book for Matt Wesolowski’s new book called ‘Deity’ which is a collection of short stories, I’ve a copy to give away to one lucky person.

What the back cover says-

A shamed pop star
A devastating fire
Six witnesses
Six stories
Which one is true?

When pop megastar Zach Crystal dies in a fire at his remote mansion, his mysterious demise rips open the bitter divide between those who adored his music and his endless charity work, and those who viewed him as a despicable predator, who manipulated and abused young and vulnerable girls.

Online journalist, Scott King, whose Six Stories podcasts have become an internet sensation, investigates the accusations of sexual abuse and murder that were levelled at Crystal before he died. But as Scott begins to ask questions and rake over old graves, some startling inconsistencies emerge: Was the fire at Crystal’s remote home really an accident? Are reports of a haunting really true? Why was he never officially charged?

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of ‘Deity’ simply answer the question below by leaving your answer in the comment box.

What is the name Scott Kings’ podcast?

Competition closes Monday 8th March 2021 and is limited to United Kingdom entries only. Good!

The Crime Writers’ Association Vintage Crime

The Crime Writers' Association Vintage Crime‘Vintage Crime is a CWA anthology with a difference, celebrating members’ work over the years. The book gathers stories from the mid-1950s until the twenty-first century by great names of the past, great names of the present together with a few hidden treasures by less familiar writers. The first CWA anthology, Butcher’s Dozen, appeared in 1956, and was co-edited by Julian Symons, Michael Gilbert, and Josephine Bell. The anthology has been edited by Martin Edwards since 1996, and has yielded many award-winning and nominated stories in the UK and overseas.

If you’re a lover of crime but only have a short window of time for reading, then this is book for you. Containing 22 short stories of vintage crime, this book will keep you on your toes with stories of suspense and thriller.

Each story is uniquely written and is a welcome distraction from the modern crime that I normally read. It was fascinating reading the various ways of solving crimes without the aid of modern technology. This is the first time that I’ve read anything by the authors featured in the book and found ‘Strolling in the Square One Day’ and ‘The Perfect Alibi’ to be particularly interesting.

With a variation of crime, gore and suspense, ‘Vintage Crime is a remarkable collection of short stories, that caters for all fans of crime fiction.

When It Happens To You by Molly Ringwald

When It Happens To You

“When It Happens To You” is Molly Ringwald’s first step into fiction writing and what a wonderful venture it was.

As a child of the 80’s I have always been a fan of the American actress and “Pretty in Pink” is one of my favourite films, so when I heard she was turning her hand to writing, I was curious as to how it would turn out.

“When It Happens To You” is a collection of eight short stories, that initially focus on Greta and Phillip, a couple struggling to conceive their second child but their marriage dissolves amidst an infidelity. The following stories carry on with the couple and their lives a year later, the relationships they encounter and the people they meet along the way.

Beautifully written and wonderfully intertwined, “When It Happens To You” is a poignant yet smart book which is written primarily from a mother’s perspective. The book is packed with infidelity, infertility and forgiveness, giving each short story unique twists and turns, that none of us can predict.

Successfully crossing from popular actress to bestselling author, “When It Happens To You” is a emotionally powerful and inventive book that will you enthralled from the very first page. With an eye-catching cover to boot, this book is guaranteed to get a lot of attention!

You can buy When it Happens to You on Amazon and other good bookshops.
